Frequent Ask Questions
What is Suboxone, and how does it work?
Suboxone combines buprenorphine and naloxone to reduce opioid cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms, without producing the same intensity of euphoric effects as full opioid agonists. It's one of the most widely used medications for treating opioid use disorder (OUD).
Is Suboxone treatment right for me?
If you're struggling to control opioid use, experiencing withdrawal symptoms between doses, or have tried to cut back on your own without success, medication-assisted treatment may help — regardless of whether your use is recent or long-standing. We evaluate every patient individually during an initial consultation.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first visit includes a confidential intake conversation, a physical evaluation, your first monitored dose of Suboxone, and a personalized treatment plan with a follow-up schedule. Most patients feel initial relief from withdrawal symptoms within the first hour or two.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. The visit is $200. You may use your insurance to help cover medications and lab testing.
How much does treatment cost?
The visit is $200. Follow-up visits are scheduled every 28 days, in accordance with state and federal guidelines. You may use your insurance to help cover medications and lab testing.
Is my treatment confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is protected under federal confidentiality laws for substance use treatment (42 CFR Part 2) in addition to standard HIPAA protections. We do not share your treatment information without your written consent.
How long does Suboxone treatment last?
Treatment length varies by patient. Some patients use Suboxone for a period of months while working toward a tapered discontinuation; others remain on a stable maintenance dose for a longer period as part of their long-term recovery plan. Your treatment plan is reviewed and adjusted with you at regular follow-up visits.
Will I feel high or sedated on Suboxone?
No. When dosed correctly, Suboxone is designed to stabilize you — reducing cravings and withdrawal symptoms — without producing a significant high. Most patients are able to return to work, school, and normal daily activities during treatment.
What areas do you serve?
We welcome patients from Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Siloam Springs, and the surrounding Northwest Arkansas area.
